OceanX collects and shares timely and vital ocean data to inform timely, science-based action. We create educational tools and experiences for audiences at all levels—from the general public to heads of state—to ensure people understand the state of the ocean and what’s at stake in its management.
Just as importantly, we bring people from around the world together to discuss the ocean. By convening scientists, policymakers, government officials, philanthropists, and youth leaders, we foster the exchange of knowledge and perspectives that leads to robust and sustained collaboration. These connections strengthen governance, accelerate implementation, and empower communities to protect the ocean as a shared global resource.
We also invest in the next generation of ocean leaders—young scientists, advocates, and changemakers—who will shape the policies and innovations of tomorrow. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and global collaboration in programs such as our flagship Leadership Immersions, we’re building a future where informed, courageous leadership ensures a thriving ocean for generations to come.
